Love and the Positive Life

Yes I have been told my postings have been missed from here within the Lilac Thicket.  Yes I have been remiss but with good reason, I have been busy falling in love with the most amazing man.  No he is not the same fellow I met last year, but he is much more wonderful than I could have ever imagined.  He will be moving up to the area at the beginning of April and we will be able to spend a lot of time together. 

That being said I wanted to share this:

20 Tips for a Positive Life


 
Take a 10-30 minute “Thank you” walk every day. While you walk practice gratitude. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
  • Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.
  • Buy a TIVO, tape your late night shows and get more sleep—it’s the ultimate energizer.
  • When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement: My purpose is to___________ today.
  • Live with the 3 E's. Energy, Enthusiasm, Empathy.
  • Read more books than you did last year.
  • Make time to practice meditation and prayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.
  • Do the “one thing” you have always wanted to do.
  • Dream more while you are awake.
  • Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less foods that are manufactured in plants.
  • Mentor someone and be mentored by someone.
  • Engage in daily random acts of kindness.
  • Clear your clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing positive energy into your life.
  • Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
  • Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
  • Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.
  • Smile and laugh more. It will keep the energy vampires away.
  • Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements:  I am thankful for __________.  Today I accomplished____________.
  • Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
  • Enjoy the ride. You only have one ride through life so make the most of it and enjoy it.
I am enjoying all my chats and phone calls with my sweetheart, so I ask you for prayers that he is indeed as wonderful as I think.  God Bless Us Everyone
